Anti-CKMT2 Antibody

This unconjugated mouse monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets mitochondrial creatine kinase, sarcomeric (CKMT2), the striated-muscle isoform of mitochondrial CK that catalyzes reversible phosphoryl transfer between creatine and ATP to regenerate phosphocreatine in the mitochondrial intermembrane space. Raised in mouse hosts and supplied as 100 µl of purified IgG in 0.1 M Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4) with 150 mM NaCl, 0.2% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol, the reagent is formulated for direct detection of the ~47 kDa CKMT2 protein on Western Blot membranes. Reactivity has been validated against human and rat samples, covering cardiac and skeletal muscle tissue where CKMT2 is most abundantly expressed and where altered mitochondrial CK activity has been investigated in cardiomyopathy, ischemic injury, and metabolic myopathy models.
