Anti-CKMT1 Antibody

This mouse monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com recognizes CKMT1, the mitochondrial creatine kinase (also known as ubiquitous MtCK or U-MtCK) that catalyzes the reversible transfer of a phosphoryl group between ATP and creatine. CKMT1 is anchored to the outer face of the inner mitochondrial membrane and powers the creatine/phosphocreatine shuttle that buffers cellular ATP in tissues with high and fluctuating energy demand, including skeletal and cardiac muscle as well as brain tissue.

The reagent is supplied as 100 µL of purified antibody in a vial, formulated in 0.1 M Tris-Glycine buffer (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 50% glycerol, and 0.2% sodium azide. It is unconjugated and validated for western blot detection of human and mouse CKMT1. Aliquot upon receipt and store at -20 °C; protect from repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity.
