The Calcium and Integrin Binding 4 (CIB4) protein is a member of the EF-hand calcium-sensor family whose paralog CIB1 has been extensively studied in the context of integrin signaling and other calcium-dependent cellular processes. CIB4 itself is comparatively less characterized, but it retains the canonical helix-loop-helix calcium-binding architecture shared across the CIB family, making reliable immunological detection of the endogenous protein a useful tool for comparative studies of CIB-family function in mammalian systems.

Supplied by Antibodies.com as a 100 µl volume of unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent at approximately 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (pH ~7.2) with 0.05% sodium azide, this anti-CIB4 reagent is validated for Western blot applications on human, mouse, and rat samples. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes along the target, supporting detection in lysates where CIB4 may be expressed at low abundance, and the unconjugated presentation allows researchers to pair it with their preferred anti-rabbit secondary reagent, whether HRP-based chemiluminescent or fluorescent.

For routine use, store refrigerated and protect from light; aliquot upon first thaw if the reagent will be consumed across multiple sessions, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity.
