This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets Chromogranin A (CgA), a 49 kDa acidic glycoprotein packaged into the dense-core secretory granules of neuroendocrine cells. CgA is widely used as a tissue and tumor marker for neuroendocrine lineages, including pheochromocytomas, carcinoid tumors, small-cell lung carcinomas, and pancreatic islet cell neoplasms, and it also serves as the precursor for several bioactive peptides such as vasostatin, pancreastatin, and catestatin.

Supplied as a liquid IgG formulation at 100 µg per vial, this antibody was raised in rabbit and is unconjugated, giving researchers flexibility to pair it with their preferred secondary antibody and detection chemistry. It has been validated for western blot detection across human, mouse, and rat samples. A working concentration of 1 to 2 µg/mL with overnight incubation at 4 °C is commonly used. For storage, keep the vial at -20 °C in working aliquots and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity, and refer to the supplied datasheet for buffer composition and lot-specific titre.
