Anti-CHRNB1 Antibody

Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified by antigen affinity chromatography, this unconjugated polyclonal IgG from Antibodies.com targets the CHRNB1 (cholinergic receptor nicotinic beta 1 subunit) protein for western blot detection. CHRNB1 contributes the beta subunit to the pentameric muscle-type nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, a ligand-gated cation channel concentrated at the postsynaptic membrane of the neuromuscular junction in skeletal muscle. The reagent detects endogenous CHRNB1 in human and mouse lysates and supports research into neuromuscular signaling, receptor biogenesis, and congenital myasthenic syndrome, in which mutations in CHRNB1 underlie slow-channel and receptor-deficiency forms of the disorder. Supplied as a 200 µl liquid vial of polyclonal antiserum, the antibody is ready to probe PVDF or nitrocellulose membranes following SDS-PAGE separation of skeletal muscle or neural tissue extracts.
