Anti-CHRNA1 Antibody

The Antibodies.com Anti-CHRNA1 Antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against the cholinergic receptor nicotinic alpha 1 subunit, the ligand-binding alpha component of the muscle-type nicotinic acetylcholine receptor localized at the neuromuscular junction. Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum, it is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat tissue sections, supporting studies of neuromuscular signaling, congenital myasthenic syndromes, and receptor autoimmunity. The polyclonal format expands epitope coverage across both intracellular and extracellular domains of CHRNA1, useful when probing samples where single monoclonal epitopes may be masked by post-translational modification or alternative splicing.

For western blot, the reagent detects the alpha subunit band in skeletal muscle lysates, while immunohistochemistry on frozen or paraffin-embedded sections produces membrane-localized staining at motor endplates. Aliquot upon first thaw to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the antibody stock, and pair with an HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibody appropriate to the chosen detection chemistry.
