Affinity-purified mouse monoclonal reagent raised against Chordin-Like 1 (CHRDL1), a secreted BMP-binding glycoprotein best characterized as an extracellular antagonist of bone morphogenetic protein signaling. This unconjugated IgG1 clone is validated for Western blot and immunocytochemistry, supporting detection of endogenous CHRDL1 in human, mouse, and rat samples.

Each vial is supplied as 100 µL of purified antibody in 0.1 M Tris-Glycine buffer at pH 7.4, with 150 mM NaCl, 0.2% sodium azide as preservative, and 50% glycerol as cryoprotectant. The glycerol-supplemented formulation tolerates routine freeze-thaw cycles and can be aliquoted for long-term storage at -20 °C. The buffer system is compatible with standard chromogenic, fluorescent, and HRP-conjugated secondary detection chemistries in both membrane-based WB and fixed-cell ICC workflows.

CHRDL1 has been studied in contexts including anterior-segment eye development, where loss-of-function variants are linked to X-linked megalocornea, as well as chondrogenic and neural differentiation and BMP-pathway regulation within the tumor microenvironment. Researchers use this clone to probe BMP-pathway activity, characterize CHRDL1 expression in cultured primary cells and tissue sections, and follow changes in CHRDL1 abundance during differentiation or disease-model experiments.

Supplied by Antibodies.com as a research use only reagent; the unconjugated format lets end-users pair the antibody with their preferred reporter conjugate for immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry on fixed cells, or chemiluminescent Western detection.
