A rabbit Polyclonal antibody raised against Calcineurin B homologous protein 2 (CHP2), supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated reagent validated for Western blot and immunocytochemistry workflows. CHP2 is an EF-hand calcium sensor that binds the C-terminal cytoplasmic tail of the plasma membrane Na+/H+ exchanger NHE1 (SLC9A1), supporting intracellular pH homeostasis and influencing receptor tyrosine kinase signaling linked to cell proliferation in mammalian systems.

The reagent cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat orthologs, supporting comparative expression studies and oncology investigations. Published work has tied elevated CHP2 expression to esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and to additional gastrointestinal tumor contexts, where the protein contributes to growth-factor-driven proliferation and tumor cell survival.

Each vial contains 100 µl of antibody at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, around pH 7.2, supplied as a single-use liquid aliquot. The unconjugated format allows end users to conjugate the antibody to a custom fluorophore or HRP label for fluorescence imaging or chromogenic detection. For long-term stability, store refrigerated and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles; sodium azide in the buffer acts as a preservative and should be accounted for in downstream live-cell or sensitive ICC protocols.
