Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified by epitope-specific immunogen chromatography, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is designed to detect endogenous levels of CHOP (also known as DDIT3/GADD153), a stress-induced transcription factor commonly used as a marker of endoplasmic reticulum stress and the unfolded protein response. The antibody is supplied as a 50 µl liquid at 1 mg/mL in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, and is unconjugated, allowing flexible pairing with secondary detection reagents of the researcher's choice. It is of the IgG isotype and was generated against a synthesized peptide derived from human CHOP around the non-phosphorylation site of serine 30, and it has been validated for use in ELISA, Western blot (WB), immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) and immunohistochemistry (IHC). Reactivity has been confirmed in human and mouse samples, making the reagent suitable for cross-species studies in cell lines, primary cultures and tissue sections. For handling, the vial is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted upon arrival and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve binding activity. The reagent is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
