CHMP5 (Charged Multivesicular Body Protein 5) is a core subunit of the ESCRT-III machinery that drives membrane scission during multivesicular body biogenesis, endosomal sorting of ubiquitinated cargoes, cytokinesis, and viral budding events. This Antibodies.com rabbit polyclonal reagent targets human CHMP5 and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on routine research samples.

The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum raised in rabbit, allowing flexible conjugation or direct detection depending on the downstream assay. Reactivity has been confirmed against human CHMP5, which migrates near its predicted molecular weight in immunoblotting, supporting studies of endosomal trafficking, ubiquitin-dependent cargo sorting, and ESCRT-dependent cellular processes such as plasma membrane repair and abscission.

Because the reagent is unconjugated, it can be paired with secondary antibodies chosen by the user for fluorescence, HRP, or biotin detection, and it works on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections for IHC as well as standard SDS-PAGE immunoblotting membranes.
