This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets CHMP2B (Charged Multivesicular Body Protein 2B), a core subunit of the ESCRT-III complex that drives multivesicular body formation, membrane scission, and endosomal sorting. Mutations in the CHMP2B gene cause frontotemporal dementia linked to chromosome 3 (FTD3), and the protein is widely investigated as a convergence point between neurodegenerative disease and altered endolysosomal trafficking, including studies in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis models.

Supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated antibody at 1 mg/mL in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the reagent is validated for western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF) workflows. Cross-reactivity is demonstrated against human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting translational research across cell culture and tissue-based models, including paraffin-embedded brain sections from rodent FTD models and human biopsy material.

The polyclonal format is intended for research use only and provides epitope diversity useful for detecting both wild-type CHMP2B and disease-associated C-terminal truncations such as CHMP2Bintron5, supporting laboratory investigation of ESCRT-mediated processes, autophagy, and protein aggregation in neurodegenerative contexts.
