Anti-CHML Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against CHML (Choroideremia-Like), a Rab escort protein 2 homolog involved in prenylation of Rab GTPases and intracellular vesicular trafficking. Supplied as a 50 µl unconjugated aliquot, the antibody is validated for western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications on human samples.

The polyclonal format raises the probability of recognizing multiple epitopes on the target, supporting detection of CHML isoforms, post-translational variants, or low-abundance signals in cell and tissue lysates. Experimental uses include expression profiling of Rab pathway components, validation of CRISPR or RNAi knockdowns, and subcellular localization studies in fixed tissue sections.

Because CHML is paralogous to REP-1 (encoded by CHM, the gene mutated in choroideremia), this antibody is a useful probe in retinal cell biology, prenylation disorder models, and membrane trafficking studies that seek to separate CHML-specific signal from REP-1/CHM.
