Offered through the Antibodies.com primary antibody range, this reagent is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody directed againstChlamydia trachomatis, supplied as a 1 mg unit of protein A-purified, unconjugated antibody in 10 mM phosphate buffered saline (pH 7.2) containing 0.1% sodium azide as preservative. The antibody binds the chlamydial LPS determinant and is validated for use in ELISA workflows, and demonstrates broad reactivity across the genus, recognisingC. trachomatis, C. pneumoniae and C. psittaci, making it a flexible reagent for chlamydial antigen detection in diagnostic and research settings. Each lot is purified from mouse ascites by protein A chromatography to a purity of approximately90% or greater, and the unconjugated format leaves the antibody free for downstream labelling or direct capture depending on the assay design. Routine handling is straightforward: vials are shipped at 4 °C and can be kept at 4 °C for short-term use, while longer-term stability is achieved by aliquoting and storing at –20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles; under the recommended buffered formulation the shelf life is up to four years. Catalogued as an IVD-grade primary antibody, the clone provides consistent monoclonal performance with the specificity profile required for chlamydial serology and antigen screening.
