Anti-Chk2 Antibody

The Antibodies.com Anti-Chk2 Antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent targeting Checkpoint kinase 2, a serine/threonine kinase central to the DNA damage response. Chk2 is activated by ATM-mediated phosphorylation at threonine 68 following DNA double-strand breaks, and it propagates the signal by phosphorylating downstream substrates such as p53 (at serine 20), BRCA1, and CDC25 family members. This cascade enforces cell cycle arrest at the G1/S and G2/M transitions, giving the cell time to repair DNA or promoting apoptosis when damage is irreparable.

The unconjugated antibody is raised in rabbit and validated for Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and ELISA. It recognizes Chk2 from human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting translational and preclinical studies across multiple model systems. Each vial is supplied at 100 µl volume.
