Offered by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against Chk1 (Checkpoint kinase-1), a serine/threonine kinase encoded by the CHEK1 gene and central to the DNA-damage response. The immunogen corresponds to a short peptide surrounding residue 317 (the Ab-317 epitope) of human Chk1, and the antibody detects endogenous levels of the protein in human samples, making it suitable as a primary reagent in Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. Supplied as an unconjugated liquid at a 50 µl pack size, the product is a polyclonal IgG preparation raised in rabbit and validated for WB and IHC applications, with recommended dilutions in the 1:500–1:1,000 range for blotting and 1:50–1:100 for immunohistochemistry. The expected molecular weight of the target is approximately 54–56 kDa. For routine handling, the antibody should be stored short term at 4 °C and, for long-term stability of up to twelve months, aliquoted and kept at −20 °C with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided. Researchers studying cell-cycle checkpoints, DNA-damage signalling, or Chk1-dependent phosphorylation pathways will find this lot-specific, affinity-purified preparation a reliable tool, and the same reagent is also offered in a larger 100 µl format for laboratories with higher consumption needs.
