Anti-Chemerin Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal primary antibody targets the secreted adipokine chemerin, also known as retinoic acid receptor responder 2 (RARRES2) or TIG2, which functions as a chemoattractant ligand for the G-protein-coupled receptor CMKLR1. The reagent is supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated, protein-A-purified preparation formulated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2.

Validated for western blot detection of chemerin from human, mouse, and rat samples, the antibody supports cross-species studies of adipose tissue, liver, and inflammatory disease models, including work on adipocyte differentiation, metabolic regulation, and recruitment of plasmacytoid dendritic cells and macrophages to sites of inflammation. Each vial provides 100 µl of stock solution from which single-use aliquots can be prepared to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the working reagent.

For handling, store refrigerated for routine short-term use and freeze at -20 degrees C in single-use aliquots for long-term stability. The included sodium azide acts as a microbial preservative; researchers should be aware that azide can interfere with certain coupling chemistries when planning HRP-based western blot detection workflows.
