Choline dehydrogenase (CHDH) is the flavin-dependent mitochondrial enzyme that catalyzes the oxidation of choline to betaine aldehyde in the glycine, serine, and threonine metabolism pathway. This Antibodies.com rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against CHDH and supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antisera, validated for Western Blot and immunohistochemistry on human and mouse samples. As a polyclonal, the antibody binds multiple epitopes on CHDH, which helps preserve signal when a single antigenic site is masked by fixation or processing. Investigators working on one-carbon metabolism, methyl donor balance, mitochondrial function, hepatocellular biology, and cancer metabolism have used CHDH detection to probe changes in choline flux and betaine availability under varying physiological and disease states. The unconjugated format also leaves the antibody open to custom HRP, biotin, or fluorophore conjugation for downstream detection in immunoblotting, tissue staining, or imaging workflows.
