This Mouse monoclonal IgG antibody recognizes CHD4, the ATP-dependent chromodomain helicase that forms the catalytic core of the NuRD (Nucleosome Remodeling and Deacetylase) chromatin-remodeling complex. Produced by Antibodies.com under clone designation A9904, the reagent is supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated antibody in a buffer suitable for immunoblotting workflows.

CHD4 functions as a transcriptional repressor and is recruited to sites of DNA damage, where it participates in PARP-dependent chromatin remodeling and RNF8-mediated ubiquitination signaling. The antibody is validated for Western Blot detection of endogenous human CHD4 in whole-cell or nuclear extracts prepared from cultured mammalian cell lines, producing a band at the expected molecular weight of approximately 218 kDa.

For Western Blot, antibody dilutions commonly used for mouse monoclonals (1:500 to 1:2000 in 5% non-fat milk or BSA in TBST) provide specific detection when paired with an anti-mouse HRP-conjugated secondary antibody and ECL substrate. Aliquot upon receipt and store at -20°C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve activity across multiple experiments.

Researchers working in chromatin biology, transcriptional regulation, DNA damage response, cancer epigenetics, and stem cell self-renewal will find this clone useful alongside other NuRD-complex markers such as MTA1, MTA2, HDAC1, HDAC2, RbAp46, and RbAp48 to characterize complex assembly and chromatin occupancy in human cell systems.
