Anti-CHD4 Antibody

Distributed through Antibodies.com and manufactured by Bioworld Technology (MPN MB0126), this Anti-CHD4 reagent is a mouse monoclonal antibody supplied as a 50 µl aliquot in PBS (pH 7.4) with 0.2% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The antibody is unconjugated, validated for Western Blot (WB) applications at a recommended dilution of 1:1000, and reacts with human CHD4, a member of the SNF2/RAD54 helicase family that forms the catalytic core of the NuRD nucleosome remodeling and deacetylase complex involved in epigenetic transcriptional repression. CHD4 (also known as Mi-2β) is additionally the autoantigen recognized by sera from patients with dermatomyositis and contributes to chromatin remodeling through the histone deacetylase NuRD complex. The antibody was affinity-purified from mouse ascites by affinity chromatography against the epitope-specific immunogen (recombinant full-length human CHD4), with purity greater than 95% as judged by SDS-PAGE, and detects endogenous CHD4 at the predicted and observed band size of approximately 260 kDa. For stability, the supplier recommends short-term storage at 4 °C with aliquoting and long-term storage at –20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
