Anti-CFHR1 Antibody

Produced in rabbit as a polyclonal reagent, the Anti-CFHR1 antibody from Antibodies.com binds human Complement Factor H-Related protein 1, a ~37 kDa plasma glycoprotein that circulates in complex with complement factor H and modulates alternative-pathway activation on host cell surfaces. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum and is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human specimens, supporting research into complement dysregulation associated with atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS), C3 glomerulopathy, and age-related macular degeneration, where CFHR1 copy-number variation and CFH-autoantibody responses have been documented. Because the polyclonal reagent targets multiple epitopes across the CFHR1 short consensus repeat (SCR) domains, it detects the protein reliably across varied sample preparations. For western blot, CFHR1 migrates in the 35-40 kDa range under reducing conditions; for IHC on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue, standard antigen retrieval protocols are recommended.
