Complement Factor H (CFH) is a ~155 kDa plasma glycoprotein that down-regulates activation of the alternative complement pathway by acting as a cofactor for Factor I-mediated cleavage of C3b and by accelerating the decay of the C3 convertase C3bBb. Loss-of-function variants and autoantibodies against CFH are implicated in atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome, C3 glomerulopathy / dense deposit disease, and age-related macular degeneration, so reliable immunological tools against this regulator are widely used in renal, ophthalmic, and complement-immunology research.

This rabbit polyclonal anti-CFH antibody from Antibodies.com was raised against recombinant human CFH and is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. It is provided as a 100 µl aliquot of unconjugated antiserum and has been validated for western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows on human samples.

Unconjugated delivery gives laboratories flexibility to conjugate the antibody to HRP, biotin, or a fluorophore of choice depending on the assay design, while polyclonal reactivity supports detection of multiple epitopes on CFH — useful when working with biological samples in which monoclonal recognition may be lost to degradation or mutation.
