Anti-CFB Antibody

Raised in rabbit against human Complement Factor B (CFB), this unconjugated polyclonal antibody recognizes the alternative complement pathway component in samples from human, mouse, and rat origin. CFB is a serine protease zymogen that, upon cleavage by factor D, generates the catalytic subunit of the C3 convertase C3bBb, making it a key entry point for non-antibody-mediated complement activation studied in innate immunity, glomerulonephritis, age-related macular degeneration, and sepsis models.

Validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry applications, the reagent is supplied as 100 µL of liquid antiserum and is well suited to track CFB expression in tissue lysates, cell extracts, and fixed sections where the alternative pathway is implicated. For short term storage, keep aliquots refrigerated at 4°C; for working volumes that will not be used within two weeks, freeze at -20°C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity.
