CETN2 (Centrin-2) is a calcium-binding EF-hand protein localized to the centrosome and implicated in centriole duplication, nucleotide excision repair, and ciliogenesis. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody is supplied by Antibodies.com at 100 µl volume and is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human samples. Centrin-2 is a well-established marker for centrioles and is frequently used to track spindle pole behavior, primary cilia assembly, and centrosome amplification in cancer cell lines. Researchers studying UV-induced DNA damage also rely on the reagent, since Centrin-2 contributes to XPC complex recruitment to lesion sites. The antibody is affinity purified, provided in a single vial as liquid antiserum, and intended for research use only. Practical applications include probing of cell lysates, fixed tissue sections, and cultured cells to visualize endogenous human target distribution across mitosis and interphase, supporting studies in cell cycle regulation, centrosome biogenesis, and DNA repair pathway research.
