Anti-CES2 Antibody

Raised in rabbit against carboxylesterase 2 (CES2), this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2. CES2 is a serine hydrolase enriched in the liver and small intestine, where it hydrolyzes ester and amide linkages and participates in the metabolism of drugs and prodrugs, including clinically relevant substrates studied in pharmacogenomics.

Validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence on human and mouse specimens, the antibody supports detection of endogenous CES2 in tissue sections and cell preparations. It is provided in a single vial and should be kept refrigerated; for extended storage, aliquot and freeze the reagent to minimize repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
