The Cerberus protein (CER1) belongs to the DAN family of secreted bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) antagonists and contributes to anterior visceral endoderm formation, head induction, and left-right axis specification during vertebrate embryogenesis. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit against the Cerberus target and recognizes both the human and rat orthologs in Western blot and ELISA workflows. Provided as 100 µl of unconjugated polyclonal antiserum, the antibody offers epitope diversity that supports detection of native and denatured Cerberus in developmental biology and BMP signaling pathway studies. The unconjugated format lets researchers choose secondary labeling strategies, including fluorophore, biotin, or enzyme conjugates, depending on the experimental readout. Typical applications include probing embryonic patterning and stem cell differentiation contexts where Cerberus expression dynamics are under investigation.
