CER1 (Cerberus 1) is a secreted BMP antagonist belonging to the DAN family of proteins, with documented roles in anterior-posterior axis specification and modulation of Nodal signaling during vertebrate embryogenesis. This Antibodies.com reagent is a rabbit polyclonal IgG raised against the human CER1 target and validated to cross-react with mouse and rat orthologs, supporting developmental biology and stem-cell studies across common model systems.
The unconjugated antibody is supplied as 200 µl of polyclonal serum, intended for standard western blot workflows on whole-cell and tissue lysates. Researchers investigating gastrulation, neural patterning, or BMP/Nodal pathway readouts can apply this reagent to detect endogenous CER1 in cell-culture extracts and embryonic tissue samples. For best results, store at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, which preserves antibody activity across multiple experiments.
