CER1 (also known as Cerberus-1) is a secreted BMP antagonist belonging to the DAN domain protein family. It contributes to early vertebrate development through anterior-posterior axis specification, gastrulation, and left-right asymmetry, acting as an inhibitor of BMP, Nodal, and Wnt signaling pathways.
From Antibodies.com, this polyclonal IgG reagent is raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated 100 µl volume. The antibody detects endogenous CER1 in human, mouse, and rat samples and is validated for western blot (WB) analysis of cell and tissue lysates, where it produces a band consistent with the predicted molecular weight of the secreted glycoprotein.
It supports studies of embryonic patterning, stem cell differentiation, and developmental signaling cascades, enabling researchers to follow CER1 expression across developmental stages and relevant model systems, including mouse embryos and differentiating human or rodent stem cell cultures.
