Affinity-purified and supplied at 1 mg/mL, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is a rabbit IgG antibody raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to the internal region of human CEP170, a centrosomal protein of approximately 170 kDa. Each vial contains 50 µL of the unconjugated antibody, buffered in PBS with 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, and it is recommended for continuous storage at -20 °C. The antibody has been validated for ELISA, Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications on human samples, where it detects endogenous levels of the CEP170 protein. Centrosomal protein of 170 kDa, also known by its aliases FAM68A, KAB, KARP-1-binding protein (KARP1-binding protein) and KIAA0470, plays a role at the centrosome and is relevant to studies of microtubule organization, mitotic spindle assembly and cell division. With its human reactivity, polyclonal clonality and unconjugated format, this CEP170 antibody is well suited to cell-biology, oncology and centrosome-duplication workflows where flexible secondary-antibody labeling or multiple readouts from a single primary reagent are required.
