Anti-CEP152 (R877) Antibody

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets CEP152, a 152 kDa centrosomal scaffold protein that recruits PLK4 to the centriole and is required for centriole duplication during the cell cycle. Raised against a region surrounding residue R877 of human CEP152, the reagent is supplied as 50 µl at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human and mouse samples.

CEP152, also known as Asterix, localises to the pericentriolar material and serves as the core factor that docks PLK4 at the mother centriole to initiate procentriole assembly. Loss-of-function variants are linked to primary microcephaly (MCPH9) and Seckel syndrome, so well-characterised CEP152 antibodies are valuable for studies of mitotic fidelity, centriole biogenesis, and developmental neurobiology.
