The CEP152 target is a centrosomal scaffold protein that partners with CEP192 to recruit the master kinase PLK4 to the mother centriole during early S phase, initiating procentriole assembly. Loss-of-function variants in CEP152 have been linked to autosomal recessive primary microcephaly (MCPH9) and Seckel syndrome, making it a recurring subject in cell cycle, neurodevelopmental, and centrosome duplication studies.

This Antibodies.com reagent is a rabbit polyclonal IgG raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to an epitope region around residue R877 of human CEP152. It is supplied as an unconjugated 100 µl aliquot at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS, approx. pH 7.2) with 0.05% sodium azide added as a preservative. The antibody is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows, and it cross-reacts with both Human and Mouse CEP152, supporting studies in established cell lines, primary cultures, and fixed tissue sections from either species.

By Western blot, CEP152 migrates as a high-molecular-weight band in the 150-160 kDa region, so SDS-PAGE gels of 6-8% acrylamide are well suited for resolving the target. IHC on dividing cells produces the characteristic punctate centrosomal staining adjacent to the nucleus. For handling, refrigerate the vial at 4 °C for short-term use; for longer-term storage, freeze at -20 °C in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve antibody titre. Protect from light and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The reagent is intended for research use only and is not approved for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
