The IgG fraction is affinity purified and validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human tissue and cell samples. CEACAM3 is a granulocyte-restricted member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, best characterized as a neutrophil-expressed opsonin-independent phagocytic receptor for pathogenic Neisseria species including N. gonorrhoeae and N. meningitidis, where it engages bacterial Opa proteins. This biology makes the reagent relevant for studies of innate immune defense, granulocyte biology, and host–pathogen interactions. Researchers working with peripheral blood neutrophils, myeloid cell lines such as HL-60, or formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections can use the polyclonal format to detect multiple epitopes across the Ig-like domain region in denatured western blot membranes and fixed IHC preparations.
