This mouse monoclonal antibody targets CDX2 (Caudal-Type Homeobox 2), a homeodomain transcription factor that governs intestinal epithelial differentiation and lineage specification during gut development. From Antibodies.com, the reagent is supplied as a purified immunoglobulin in PBS (pH 7.4) with 0.2% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as cryoprotectant, packaged as a 50 µL liquid aliquot ready for direct use in western blot, immunoprecipitation, and immunocytochemistry workflows. The unconjugated format leaves the choice of detection label to the end user, which is convenient when pairing with secondary reagents for fluorescence, chemiluminescence, or chromogenic readouts.

CDX2 expression is widely exploited in pathology and developmental biology as a marker of intestinal differentiation, with characteristic nuclear staining in epithelial cells of the small intestine and colon. Aberrant CDX2 expression is also studied in colorectal carcinoma, gastric intestinal metaplasia, and certain mucinous tumors of the ovary and urinary bladder, where the antibody can help confirm intestinal-type differentiation in tissue sections and cultured cells. Reactivity has been validated on human, monkey, and mouse samples, supporting use in translational studies spanning patient-derived specimens and corresponding animal models. For short-term use, refrigerate; for extended storage, aliquot and freeze, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity.
