A monoclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets CDX2, a homeobox transcription factor that directs intestinal epithelial differentiation and serves as a lineage marker in gastrointestinal studies. This unconjugated mouse antibody enables detection of endogenous CDX2 protein across Western blot, immunoprecipitation, and immunocytochemistry workflows, supporting research on colorectal carcinogenesis, intestinal metaplasia, and gut developmental biology.

The reagent is supplied as 100 µL of purified immunoglobulin in a vial containing PBS (pH 7.4) with 0.2% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as cryoprotectant. The glycerol formulation preserves activity across repeated freeze-thaw cycles, while sodium azide acts as a preservative for working solutions held at refrigerated temperatures.

Reactivity has been validated against human, monkey, and mouse samples, enabling comparative work across cell culture models and primary tissue. ICC application supports visualization of CDX2 nuclear localization in colonic organoid and adenocarcinoma cell lines, IP capability allows pull-down of CDX2-containing transcriptional complexes, and Western blot application covers expression profiling in normal intestinal mucosa versus tumor specimens. The unconjugated format leaves open the choice of secondary reagent and detection chemistry for each experiment.
