CDKN2A, also known as p16INK4a, is a critical tumor suppressor protein that regulates the G1 to S phase transition of the cell cycle by inhibiting cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against CDKN2A and validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows in human samples. The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum, supporting research on melanoma biology, pancreatic adenocarcinoma signaling, glioblastoma pathways, and HPV-associated malignancy biomarkers. As a primary antibody, it enables detection of endogenous p16INK4a expression in fixed tissue sections, cultured cell lines, and cell lysates, where loss or silencing of CDKN2A is a frequent event in oncogenic transformation. Researchers studying senescence, cell cycle arrest, and tumor suppressor function can apply this antibody under standard immunodetection conditions.
