CDKN1A, also known as p21, is a cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor that enforces cell cycle checkpoints in response to DNA damage. The phospho-T145 epitope reflects an ATM/ATR-dependent modification that accumulates after genotoxic stress, making this Antibodies.com reagent a useful probe for visualizing p21 pathway activation in tissue sections.
Raised in rabbit as a polyclonal IgG and supplied unconjugated at 50 µl, the antibody is validated for immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human specimens. It supports studies of tumor suppressor signaling, stress responses, and proliferation arrest in archival samples, where phospho-specific detection can distinguish cell-cycle-arrested cells from those merely expressing total p21.
