CDKL5 (Cyclin-Dependent Kinase-Like 5) is a serine/threonine kinase predominantly expressed in the central nervous system, where it plays a critical role in neuronal migration, dendrite development, and synaptic function. Loss-of-function mutations in the CDKL5 gene cause CDKL5 deficiency disorder, an X-linked neurodevelopmental condition characterized by early-onset seizures, intellectual disability, and impaired motor development.

The Antibodies.com rabbit polyclonal antibody to CDKL5 is supplied as 100 µl of an unconjugated reagent at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. It has been validated for Western blot detection of the endogenous CDKL5 protein (~120 kDa) in lysates prepared from human, mouse, and rat tissue sources, supporting studies of kinase expression across species in neuroscience and rare neurodevelopmental disease research.

Generated in rabbit, this polyclonal reagent binds the native CDKL5 target without an attached reporter, allowing investigators to pair it with a labelled secondary antibody of their choice. The 50% glycerol formulation helps preserve antibody activity during routine handling, and the 100 µl vial size is convenient for laboratories running Western blot panels on brain or neuronal cell line lysates.
