CDK9 (Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 9) is a serine/threonine kinase that forms the catalytic core of the P-TEFb complex together with Cyclin T1 or Cyclin K, driving productive elongation of RNA polymerase II transcripts. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against CDK9 and validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples. The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum and can be incorporated into transcriptional elongation, stress response, and CDK9-dependent signaling studies in dividing or differentiated cells.

It supports research into HIV-1 Tat cofactor biology, where CDK9 is recruited by the viral Tat protein to hyperphosphorylate the C-terminal domain of RNA polymerase II, as well as oncology programs exploring CDK9 inhibition in MYC-driven hematological malignancies, including CLL and AML. Because the host species is rabbit and the reagent is unconjugated, it pairs cleanly with any anti-rabbit secondary antibody for fluorescent or chromogenic detection across multiple platforms.
