Anti-CDK4 Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent recognizes Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 4 (CDK4), a serine/threonine kinase that partners with cyclin D1 to phosphorylate the retinoblastoma (Rb) tumor suppressor and govern the G1-to-S phase transition of the cell cycle. Because of its central role in Rb pathway control, CDK4 is widely studied in oncology research, particularly in melanoma, breast cancer, and glioma models, as well as in work evaluating small-molecule CDK4/6 inhibitors.

The unconjugated antibody is supplied at 100 µl and is validated for western blot detection of the approximately 34 kDa CDK4 band, immunofluorescence localization in cultured cells, and immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections. Cross-reactivity has been confirmed with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative studies across cell lines, xenografts, and rodent tissue specimens.
