This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com selectively detects CDK1 only when the kinase carries a phosphate group on tyrosine 15, the inhibitory mark installed by Wee1 and Myt1 kinases that holds cells in G2 until DNA repair is complete. Researchers studying mitotic entry, checkpoint signaling, and DNA damage response use this phospho-specific reagent to track CDK1 inactivation status in cell lysates.

Produced in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated IgG preparation in a 200 µl vial, the antibody is validated for Western blot detection of human, mouse, and rat samples. The phospho-epitope specificity is confirmed by comparing untreated lysates with phosphatase-treated controls or extracts from cells synchronized at the G2/M boundary, producing a clean band at the expected molecular weight of approximately 34 kDa.

For immunoblotting, optimization across a dilution range is recommended to determine the working concentration appropriate for each sample type. The reagent is shipped refrigerated in a standard PBS-based buffer containing sodium azide preservative; aliquot upon arrival and store cold, limiting freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity over the working life of the vial.
