Cyclin-dependent kinase 1 (Cdk1), also called Cdc2, drives the transition from G2 into mitosis and is tightly controlled by inhibitory phosphorylation at Thr14. This phospho-specific reagent from Antibodies.com selectively recognizes the Thr14-phosphorylated form, enabling researchers to monitor the inactivation state of Cdk1/Cdc2 during cell cycle progression, checkpoint activation, and DNA damage responses.
Produced in rabbit as a polyclonal antibody, the reagent is supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide, approximately pH 7.2. It is validated for western blot and reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative studies in cell cycle and cancer research.
Each vial contains 100 µl of antibody, sufficient for multiple immunoblot experiments. Refrigerate for short-term storage; aliquot and freeze for longer term, and protect from light to preserve phospho-specific binding activity.
