Anti-CDH23 Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against CDH23 (Cadherin-23, also known by the synonyms KIAA1774, KIAA1812 and Otocadherin) and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows. The immunogen used for immunization is a fusion protein of human CDH23, and the antibody is subsequently affinity-purified against that immunogen so that it specifically recognizes the endogenous level of total CDH23 protein. The unconjugated antibody is supplied as a 50 µL aliquot at a working concentration of 1.0 mg/mL, formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺) at pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative, and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. For stability, it is shipped at 4 °C; upon receipt the vial should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided. The reagent has been characterized for cross-reactivity with human and mouse samples, supporting its use in studies of cadherin-mediated adhesion, hair-bundle organization, and inner-ear mechanotransduction.
