CDH13 (Cadherin-13), also known as T-cadherin or H-cadherin, is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored member of the cadherin superfamily that lacks the transmembrane and cytoplasmic tail present in classical cadherins. The gene maps to chromosome 16q23.3, and the protein has been investigated in cardiovascular biology, adiponectin receptor signaling, and tumor cell adhesion, where it is frequently discussed as a candidate tumor suppressor. This Antibodies.com reagent is an unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody raised against CDH13, supplied as 50 µL, and validated for Western blot on human and mouse samples. Because T-cadherin is GPI-anchored rather than spanning the bilayer, investigators typically load membrane-enriched or detergent-solubilized lysates; the mature glycoprotein migrates near a predicted molecular weight of approximately 90 kDa on denaturing SDS-PAGE gels. The IgG isotype allows pairing with standard HRP-conjugated secondary reagents and TBST-based detection workflows. Aliquot upon receipt, refrigerate, and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity. The polyclonal nature of the reagent supports recognition of multiple epitopes across the extracellular cadherin repeats, which can be advantageous when probing truncated, splice-variant, or partially processed forms of CDH13 in transfected cell lines and primary tissue.
