This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets CDC42 (Cell Division Cycle 42), a ~21 kDa Rho-family small GTPase that acts as a binary molecular switch cycling between an active GTP-bound conformation and an inactive GDP-bound state. CDC42 drives actin cytoskeleton remodeling, filopodia assembly, cell polarity establishment, directed migration, and intracellular vesicle trafficking, placing it at the center of studies on cancer cell invasion, neuronal axon guidance, epithelial morphogenesis, and immune-cell chemotaxis.

Raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated polyclonal reagent in a 100 µl volume, this primary antibody is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples. The polyclonal format offers broader epitope coverage than a monoclonal reagent, supporting reliable detection of endogenous CDC42 in whole-cell lysates and in fixed tissue sections when comparing cytoskeletal dynamics and Rho GTPase signaling across experimental conditions.

For handling, store the vial refrigerated at 4 °C for routine short-term use; for extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20 °C, limiting repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity.
