This polyclonal reagent targets Cdc42 (Cell Division Control Protein 42), a ~21 kDa Rho-family GTPase that cycles between active GTP-bound and inactive GDP-bound states to drive actin organization, membrane trafficking, and cell polarity. Distributed by Antibodies.com, the antibody is raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/mL in a 100 µl volume of PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. It is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples.

Researchers commonly apply this Cdc42 antibody to dissect Rho GTPase signaling in migration assays, wound healing models, neuronal development studies, and cancer invasion readouts, where Cdc42 activity is a recognized driver of filopodia formation and directed cell movement. The polyclonal format raises the probability of detecting multiple epitopes on the small GTPase, which is helpful when probing endogenous Cdc42 across tissues or in primary cell cultures. Storage at -20 °C with minimal freeze-thaw cycles preserves the glycerol-stabilized formulation, and aliquoting on first use is recommended for long-term projects.

For laboratory work, typical Western blot loading ranges from 10 to 30 µg of total protein per lane, and chemiluminescent substrates detect the rabbit host antibody after HRP-conjugated secondary incubation. Immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections generally employs antigen retrieval in citrate buffer at 95 °C for 10 to 20 minutes, followed by overnight primary incubation at 2 to 8 µg/mL. The unconjugated format gives researchers freedom to pair the antibody with their preferred fluorophore, biotin, or enzyme label, supporting multiplex fluorescence IHC.
