Anti-Cdc20 Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the Cdc20 cell-cycle regulator, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com detects endogenous levels of the APC/C activator p55CDC across human, mouse, and rat samples. The unconjugated antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and is aliquoted into 100 µl volumes for routine bench use.

Cdc20 is a WD40-repeat protein that binds the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome and triggers the ubiquitin-dependent destruction of securin and cyclin B1, driving the metaphase-to-anaphase transition. The antibody is validated for western blot detection of the approximately 55 kDa band, immunofluorescence staining of mitotic figures, and immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed tissue sections, making it a practical tool for studies of spindle assembly checkpoint fidelity, mitotic timing, and chromosome segregation.

Store the vial at -20 °C in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and protect the solution from light.
