Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this research-grade polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit and specifically detects endogenous levels of Cdc2 (also known as CDK1), the cyclin-dependent kinase that drives the G2/M transition in the cell cycle. The immunogen is a synthetic peptide derived from human Cdc2 around the non-phosphorylation site of tyrosine 15, and the antiserum is affinity-purified by affinity-chromatography using that epitope-specific immunogen. Supplied as an unconjugated liquid in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide at a working concentration of 1 mg/mL, the antibody is offered here in a 50 µl format. It has been validated for Western blotting (WB) and ELISA, and cross-reacts with human, mouse and rat samples, making it suitable for comparative cell-cycle studies across species.
