Produced by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent targets CDC2 (also known as CDK1, p34 protein kinase, or Cell division protein kinase 1) at a conserved region surrounding threonine 161, and is supplied as a 50 µl aliquot at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol. The antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide spanning amino acids 159–163 (T-Y-T-H-E) of human CDC2 and affinity-purified on an epitope-specific peptide column, enabling it to detect the endogenous level of total CDC2 protein. It is unconjugated and validated for Western blot (WB) and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) on samples from human, mouse, and rat origins. The host species is rabbit and the clonality is polyclonal, with recommended storage at -20°C after aliquoting following shipment on wet ice at 4°C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Intended strictly for research use, this IgG-class preparation is suited to cell-cycle and kinase signalling studies where monitoring total CDC2 expression complements phosphorylation-state analyses.
