The Anti-CDA Antibody from Antibodies.com is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against cytidine deaminase (CDA), the hydrolytic enzyme responsible for converting cytidine and 2′-deoxycytidine into uridine and 2′-deoxyuridine within the pyrimidine salvage pathway. Because CDA also drives the catabolism of nucleoside analogue drugs such as gemcitabine and cytarabine, this reagent is frequently used to profile chemotherapy response, tumor metabolism, and resistance mechanisms in oncology research.

The unconjugated antibody is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence, and it cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting translational workflows that move between rodent models and patient tissue. Polyclonal recognition across multiple epitopes helps maintain a consistent signal in both denatured and natively fixed preparations, and the unconjugated format leaves the choice of fluorophore, biotin, or HRP labelling to the end user.

Each vial contains 100 µl of liquid at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For storage, aliquot the reagent and freeze at -20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity; protect from light and handle with appropriate PPE because of the sodium azide preservative. Recommended working dilutions typically start around 1:500 to 1:2000 for Western blot and 1:50 to 1:200 for IHC and IF, with optimization expected for each sample type.
