This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against CD93 (also known as Complement component C1q receptor or C1qRp), a cell-surface glycoprotein implicated in innate immunity, phagocytic clearance, and cell adhesion. The immunogen is a synthetic peptide derived from the internal region of human CD93, and the resulting antiserum is affinity-purified by epitope-specific affinity chromatography to enrich for target-specific immunoglobulins. The product is supplied as a 50 µl liquid formulation at a working concentration of 1 mg/mL in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative. It is unconjugated, allowing researchers to choose their own label or detection chemistry, and is intended for use in Western blot (WB) and ELISA workflows against human samples. Each lot is qualified to detect endogenous levels of CD93 protein, and the antibody should be stored at −20 °C with freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve binding activity. Recommended secondary reagents for detection include goat anti-rabbit IgG H&L antibodies conjugated to AP, biotin, FITC or HRP. As a polyclonal preparation, the reagent contains a diverse population of rabbit immunoglobulins rather than a single defined subclass, and it is intended for research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
