From Antibodies.com, this unconjugated recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody recognizes CD9, a 24-27 kDa tetraspanin (TM4SF) protein that has been tested for reactivity against human, mouse, and rat samples. CD9 organizes tetraspanin-enriched microdomains that coordinate integrin signaling, cell adhesion, and membrane fusion, and is widely used as a surface marker for extracellular vesicles and exosomes alongside CD63 and CD81.

The antibody is supplied as 100 µl in 1×TBS (pH 7.4) with 1% BSA, 40% glycerol, and 0.05% sodium azide as preservative. It is validated for western blot, immunocytochemistry and immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry, covering the workflows most often applied to cell surface and vesicle-associated antigens.

For storage, aliquot upon receipt and store at -20°C; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve activity. In western blot of whole-cell lysates under reducing conditions, CD9 typically migrates between 24 and 27 kDa, with the spread reflecting cell-type-dependent N-glycosylation of the two extracellular loops.
